Films for the Forest
Films for the Forest is an annual juried short film collection that uses the power of creative storytelling to convene, empower, and activate global audiences to take action on behalf of the world's forests. The theme for the 2025/2026 competition is: "More Than Trees." In 2025/2026, we challenged filmmakers worldwide to take us deep into their stories and help everyone experience forests beyond the trees. They exist in continuous synergy with the ecosystems around them. Join us in experiencing the thoughtful and exhilarating short films which take us to the heart of the forests and why we should care for them.
Flamenco Night at The Rosette
We are excited to have Flamenco dancer Melissa Cruz at the Rosette! Melissa mesmerizes her audiences with her profound expression and rhythmic precision. Originally from New Orleans, she is based in the Bay Area performing throughout California and the United States.
The rest of the cast is dancers Rocio Terremonto and Drea La Flamenca. One of the highlights of the Flamenco night with guitarist Jose Manuel Tejeda and singer Celia Corrales.
Beneath the Bluebonnets Book Launch Party

Brasileirôu: Album Release Show by Frederico7
Join Brazilian artist Frederico7 for an intimate evening celebrating Brasileirôu, a new 12-song album shaped between Brazil and Austin through lived music, rhythm, and story. Performed with a full ensemble of exceptional Austin musicians, this concert brings the album to life in a theater setting designed for deep listening and connection. Expect a journey through Brazilian soul, groove, and poetic reflection, woven with moments of storytelling from the making of the record. Brazilian refreshments and libations will be provided.
ACG's Live at The Rosette series: Lorenzo Micheli
Our Season Finale features one of the all-time greats of the classical guitar. Italian virtuoso Lorenzo Micheli brings unmistakable brilliance and emotional depth to every performance, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to Austin.
How Are You, 512?
Join Amorsima Trio for an evening of adventurous new music, featuring the world premiere of How Are You? for string trio, video, and electronics by Austin-based composer Stephan Arce-Penedo. This multimedia work pays homage to Austin throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, combining historic video footage and audio interspersed with sounds of the string trio.

John Pointer's Performance Lab
John Pointer’s Performance Lab is a chance to see his work from two angles in one day. FREE WORKSHOP 3:30–5:00pm.
TICKETED CONCERT 8:00–9:30pm. On stage, John puts it all together. The result is a playful, surprising, and at times deeply physical performance. Audience reactions have ranged from “the sound of boundaries disappearing” to “some kind of musical prism.” Come to either or both.
ATX Music Series: Erin Ivey

The young Puerto Rican guitarist Leonela Alejandro makes her Austin debut fresh off winning a series of competitions—most notably first prize in the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition.

Let Them Cook Vol. 2
Hood Orchestra returns to SXSW with the second annual installment of Let Them Cook, a celebration of artistry, freedom, and genre-less expression. This intimate showcase features two incredible musicians—Michael Prince and Nichole Thompson—as they take the stage to fully explore their sound, creativity, and storytelling. OCU Guitar Ensemble Concert
ACG’s dear friend Matt Denman and the Oklahoma City University Guitar Ensemble is coming to Austin for a performance at The Rosette!

ATX Music Series: Guy Forsyth Trio
We are ecstatic to present the Guy Forsyth Trio at The Rosette as part of our ATX Music Series. Founder of iconic Austin sonic experiences like Asylum Street Spankers and (now) The Hot Nut Riveters, Forsyth has played around the world, made over 20 records, won many awards, and helped define Austin music. He's a one-of-a-kind Austin original. He not only writes and sings his own songs, but he enjoys telling the stories behind their inspiration. He is a modern American Songster. Not one song is the same, but they share the same care and craftsmanship. No matter the tune, no matter the rhythm, Forsyth’s music will bring a smile and make the body move.

Trio Los Vigilantes: Noche de Boleros (Valentine’s Day) w/ String Quartet
Trio Los Vigilantes is an Austin-based Latin vocal trio known for intimate, emotionally resonant performances rooted in the bolero tradition. They are the only Bolero Trio on the Texas Touring Roster, have performed together for more than 25 years, and have been featured at the Havana Jazz Festival in Cuba. For this Valentine’s evening, the trio will be joined by a string quartet, expanding their sound while preserving the close, listening-room experience The Rosette is known for.

The play! series concludes with two rising stars in the classical guitar world! Brazilian guitarist Natan Bastos opens the evening with his passionate artistry, followed by Mexican guitarist Alberto Daniel Quintanilla, winner of more than 50 national and international guitar competitions.

After twenty-five years, Rick & Mark Del Castillo, known for their nylon guitar prowess with their 6-piece award winning band Del Castillo, are switching things up a bit and have decided to strip down their sound and venture into the world of duo guitars. Performing more intimate versions of their classic songs along with lesser-known cover tunes, they bring a night of passionate and fiery guitars. A must see for guitar enthusiasts.

circularity is a multidisciplinary premiere that explores the perennial question: What does it mean to be human in this moment of our collective unfolding?
Through poetry, vocal harmony, and original composition, poet Jennifer Bloom, composer Justice Phillips, and VAMP will invite you into an experience of reflection, resonance, and shared inquiry. The performance weaves Bloom’s poems into a textured musical landscape shaped by Phillips’ evocative compositions and brought to life by VAMP’s radiant, layered voices.
The Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet
The sextet continues to fearlessly explore the possibilities that emerge from the collaboration of musicians with diverse musical backgrounds. Members of the Sextet are: Alex Coke (flutes/tenor sax), Carl Michel (guitar), Elaine Barber (concert harp), Bob Hoffnar (pedal steel), Carolyn Trowbridge (vibes) and Dana Wygmans ((upright bass). The Sextet continues its sonically engaging song craft, weaving together the compositions and contributions of its members.

Polar Regions of Earth: Sights and Sounds of Wonder
Join us for the opening reception our Polar Regions of Earth sound and photography exhibit at The Rosette. Featuring breathtaking photography of Joaquin Delgado and a sound installation built from field recordings of the arctic by Mike Vernusky, our opening reception will include complimentary beverages and brief statements from the artists. Delgado’s limited series photographic prints will be available for purchase through silent-auction-style bidding, with 100% of proceeds benefitting ACG Education and social services. Please note, The Rosette is in an historic building, and parts of this exhibit will require walking up stairs.

Discover the exquisite sound of the Stanton Street Duo’s 7-string guitar and chromatic harmonica. Based in Mexico, this husband-and-wife ensemble of Alan Lopez and Tatiana Senderowicz specializes in the music of Latin America, with a particular focus on the Argentine tango.
