ATX Music Series: The Carolyn Trowbridge Quintet
Energy, intricacy, and joy, we can’t wait for this incredible show. A frequent Austin Music Awards-nominee, Carolyn Trowbridge has worked with well-known artists including Grammy contenders Black Pumas, Adrian Quesada, Graham Reynolds, and local favorites Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet, The Azmaris, Hard Proof, and many more. Her quintet members are Andy Beaudoin - drums, Mario Castellanos - bass, Alex Coke - flutes, Jason Frey - soprano saxophone, and Carolyn Trowbridge - vibraphone.
ATX Music Series: The Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet
The Alex Coke & Carl Michel Sextet is just so good. Their last Rosette show sold out, and we can’t wait to have them back. The virtuoso ensemble is woodwinds (Alex Coke), guitar (Carl Michel), concert harp (Elaine Barber), pedal steel (Bob Hoffnar), upright bass (James Suter) and vibes (Carolyn Trowbridge). Exploring the boundaries of jazz, classical, new music, folk, improvisation and extended techniques, they have two recordings on PlayOn Records, The Emissary (2021) and Emergence (2023). Their newest album, Situation (2025), continues their sonic exploration with arrangements of compositions by Carla Bley, Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, Camille Saint-Saëns, Ottotino Respighi plus original compositions by group members Alex Coke, Carl Michel & Bob Hoffnar.

The Love Supreme is an exploration of sound, harmony, heart, spirit and the poetry of relationship--all heated to the perfect pitch temperature of the soul. Carlos Piñana carries flamenco in his blood. The grandson of a legendary cantaor and son of a renowned guitarist, Carlos has spent his life mastering this rich art form. As a celebrated performer and professor of flamenco guitar at the Murcia Superior Music Conservatory, he has developed a uniquely inspiring approach that helps classical guitarists unlock the rhythms, colors, and soul of flamenco.

Flamenco at The Rosette
In partnership with Austin Flamenco Academy, a premier Flamenco dance studio, we are ecstatic to present a traditional Spanish tablao of dance, music and song. Featured artists are Flamenco dancers Andrea Lopez and Drea Pacot, classically trained Flamenco guitarist Jose Manual Tejeda, and the deep soulful cante (Flamenco voice) of Celia Corrales.

Experience Lon Chaney’s iconic portrayal of the fiend haunting the Paris Opera House, accompanied by a brand new score by Austin-based composer Matthew Lyons. Matthew, alongside his Moontower Guitar Duo partner Stephen Krishnan, virtuoso violinist Sandy Yamamoto, and cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins, will bring new life to this timeless tale of murder, mystery, and mayhem.
